Transport

Biko Serwis

Transport systems

Our transport systems include the most optimal solutions, always adapted to the specifics of the material, the requirements of the local installation and the budget. Since we are designers, manufacturers and at the same time service the devices, we provide the shortest implementation time and the widest range of services.

We simulate bulk material transport using a unique discrete element method (DEM), which eliminates the need for large prototype and installation trial costs. Our solutions are aimed at various industries and products.

Bucket elewators BKBE

This is the most efficient method of vertical transport, internal return drum guidance and covered gravity tension ensure maximum reliability.

Bucket elevators, also known as bucket conveyors, are used as a means of vertical continuous transport. They are characterized by economical operation, simple construction and easy operation. Moving buckets are filled with the transported material and emptied centrifugally. The buckets are attached to a belt tensioner that runs through the drums. The geometry and basic operating parameters are the result of many studies using DEM simulations.

We also offer elevators designed for use in Atex zones.

Screw conveyors BKSC

They enable the transport of material horizontally, at an angle or even completely vertically, they are reliable conveyors for any task that can work in all working conditions.

The screw conveyor is designed for transporting dust, bulk and small-sized materials. It can receive material transported from chutes, unloading containers, tanks or conveyors and feed it to other unloading devices or tanks. Screw conveyors are made in two basic versions: trough and tubular. In the reversible version, the screw conveyor allows the material to be moved in both directions. The direction of material movement is changed by changing the direction of rotation of the screw shaft. We also produce innovative vertical screw conveyors with high efficiency and low energy demand.

Our solutions are based on the results of simulations of the actual behavior of bulk and lump materials using the Discrete Element Method (DEM). We are one of the few European companies using DEM capabilities in designing devices.

Belt conveyors BKBC

Belt conveyors are devices designed for transporting bulk materials, in pieces or lumps. They enable the transfer of the medium in a horizontal or inclined direction for a distance of up to several hundred meters. Used in aggregate mines, storage yards, warehouses and on production lines. Belt conveyors are individually selected for the parameters of the transported material based on specialist simulations of bulk material flows. Our designs are designed for continuous operation.

Chain conveyors BKCC

Conveyors most resistant to high temperatures and loads, with a double chain ensuring reliable guidance. Chain conveyors (transporters) are most often used to transport loads of significant mass and dimensions.

Chain conveyors can work in transport lines moving loads from different production areas, they can also connect different technological devices, and they are widely used in industrial processes. They allow changing the direction of the transported load or transferring it from one transport line to another. This is done using special types of chain conveyors – turntables and chain transfers. Chain conveyors have a simple supporting structure, it is possible to precisely adjust the height of the conveyor. Conveyor supports can have an anti-vibration base. BIKO-SERWIS chain conveyors are characterized by high durability, quiet operation and reliability, rigidity, high resistance to contamination, simple maintenance and operation.

Mass Transport

Bulk cargo (solid dry bulk cargo) is a cargo of one type of material transported in large quantities and large batches. Bulk cargo can be divided into dry, liquid and special-purpose cargo. Bulk cargo is most often transported by sea, which does not exclude full-truck transport by inland waterway or rail.

Among dry bulk cargo (solid dry bulk cargo) we can distinguish: shapeless, powdered, granular, lumpy, granular materials and goods transported in pieces. Devices intended for mass transport have a reinforced structure and significantly greater efficiency.

Air slides / aeration gutters BKAS

Aeration (fluid) gutters are used to transport fine and dry materials (such as lime, cement, sand, gypsum, dust). These devices use the change in the properties of bulk materials in this state. The gutter works at an angle of inclination of 5° – 15° to the horizontal, and this angle depends on the type of material. The efficiency depends on the transported material, the angle of inclination of the gutter and the aeration fabric used.

Dilute phase pneumatic conveing BKPI

Thanks to two-stage CFD and DEM simulations, the pneumatic transport system is maximally adapted to the transported product.

We specialize in a low-pressure, dispersed phase pneumatic transport, designed for capacities of 0.1 – 20 tons/hour and transport distances of up to 150 meters.

Pneumatic transport of bulk raw materials involves putting the material particles in motion by the movement of gas molecules (usually air) in the pipeline. Air movement is created as a result of the pressure difference between the beginning of transport (sending) and the end of transport (receiving).

Low-pressure transport is powered by blowers. The material to air ratio is low and the feeding is done via injectors. Pressure and vacuum versions are used here, depending on the requirements.

The low-pressure transport set includes a special rotary feeder and an injector that shapes the material stream. Pressures for low-pressure transport are 500-1200 mbar, blower power: 5-50 kW.

Two-way transfers adapted to gravity and pressure filling BKDV

Due to their construction, reliability and simplicity of operation, high tightness and a wide range of various applications in industry, two-way dischargers with internal seals and two-way material flow dividers are the basic devices used for separating bulk raw materials into two directions or changing the direction of a gravitationally flowing loose product. These devices allow the material to be transferred to the next element of the industrial installation or the next transport route.

The transfer consists of a casing, a flat flap attached to a shaft bearing in the case and a drive. After adjusting the flap, the seal is arranged in the casing embossment, ensuring tightness between individual outlets at a pressure difference of up to 0.1 bar. The thickness of the casing wall is 2 – 3 mm, the material of manufacture is carbon steel and stainless steel.

Internally sealed chutes are also a very good basis for all special or atypical applications. One such application is to shorten the changeover time. The so-called “fast drive” is used in systems for detecting and removing metals from the product. Another special version is to equip the chute with a drive with a positioner. The positioner is a device mounted on the rotary drive, allowing the chute flap to be stopped in any position.

The dumpings with internal seal are manufactured in the following DN diameters: 100, 120, 150, 175, 200, 250 and 300 mm.

The chutes can be made as symmetrical (inlet: vertical, and outlets: to the right and left) or asymmetrical (inlet and outlet: vertical and outlet to the side). The chutes with internal seal can be adjusted during the flow of the raw material, but cannot be adjusted when the raw material fills the chute.
