It consists in precise division of a product or raw material into a portion, which can then be used (in a specified quantity) in the technological process. Feeders allow for gradual intensification of feeding of bulk materials. Our offer includes volumetric and gravimetric systems for feeding bulk materials, which we select individually for each application and requirements of our Clients and their budgets. Our devices are characterized by high functionality and precision of operation, obtained by combining the highest quality materials and an advanced level of technological execution. Thanks to our many years of experience, knowledge of industrial technologies, materials science, proficiency in the selection of weighing systems, design possibilities in the field of mechanics and creation of solutions manufactured by BIKO-SERWIS from scratch, you can be sure that the product we deliver is the most modern and technologically advanced device.
Rotary feeders are widely used in industry. Technological installations for transporting bulk materials, from granulates to the dust fraction of the material/raw material, require the use of rotary feeders in the processes of transferring, dosing or storing bulk materials. These devices are not suitable for dosing materials with large grain size and sticky materials that form agglomerates. Rotary feeders can also be used for materials that have sticking and poorly flowing properties, and their large granulation requires preliminary crushing of the lumpy material or cutting, such as in the case of biomass.
Different regions of Poland use different names for rotary feeders. There are terms such as rotary valve, rotary cell, star valve, rotary feeder, rotary sluice or turnstile. However, all of the above names refer to the same device
The selection of rotary feeders is carried out individually based on the collected information about the technological process, efficiency and type and properties of the transported medium. On this basis, it is possible to determine the type and size of the offered rotary feeder as well as the material configuration of the body, side covers and rotary wheel. It is also possible to make a rotary cell in a material configuration specified by the customer.
The principle of operation of rotary feeders is very simple. Each rotary feeder consists of a cylindrical chamber in which a rotor rotates, which has, depending on the situation, 6 or 8 chambers feeding the material. The rotor is driven by a gear motor.
The bodies of rotary dispensers, depending on technological needs, can be made of black steel or stainless steel. Sealing plates are screwed to the rotor blades, which can be made of polyurethane, silicone, rubber or, if necessary, other plastics. These blades and side discs are replaceable sealing elements of the device. The inlets and outlets of rotary dispensers are finished with special connecting flanges, which can be round, square or rectangular. It is possible to drill the inlets and outlets according to the customer’s instructions.
The temperature of the material dosed in a standard rotary dispenser should not exceed 80 degrees Celsius. For higher temperatures, we offer rotary dispensers in a special version. For installations installed in explosion hazard zones, rotary dispensers with the ATEX certificate are used as equipment or as protection against the effects of an explosion, i.e. against a sudden increase in pressure and as protection against the penetration of flame.
These are devices designed for portioning and control of material/raw material consumption with wide application in installations for feeding and mixing bulk materials used in industrial technological processes. Tank feeders operate based on the principle of weight loss over time. They can provide both batch and continuous dosing, with very high accuracy up to 0.5%.
Bin feeders, also known as portion scales, are used in mills, poultry houses, feed mixers, plastic processing plants, where they portion grain, granulates, fertilizers, pellets, bran, flour and other bulk substances.
They are equipped with controllers with analog and digital communication in various data transmission modules. The option with a hybrid dosing screw allows for dosing in a wide range with high accuracy. The simplicity of operation of BIKO-SERWIS tank dosers eliminates failures and possible errors in measurement accuracy. Excellent metrological parameters and speed of operation are definitely features of the devices we offer, they can be offered in a legalized and technological version. They are designed and manufactured in various configurations depending on the application and needs of our customers. For work in an explosion hazard zone, we offer an ATEX version.
A belt feeder is a conveyor designed primarily for measuring the flow of bulk material.
Belt feeders are used for smooth and even feeding of bulk and lumpy materials with medium and high bulk density. They enable dosing during transport, especially for products that are difficult to get off. These devices are certainly the most universal solutions for feeding bulk materials, those manufactured by BIKO-SERWIS have been designed to work in the most difficult conditions, especially in heavy industry. Stations with a belt feeder are commonly used in production plants, mines and warehouses, among others. Depending on the type of scale, these devices can also have portioning and dosing functions.
Such practical equipment is used primarily for transporting materials at subsequent stages of production, selecting raw materials, transporting aggregates and loading them into transport vehicles. High quality workmanship and durable materials allow for long-term and failure-free operation, while ensuring high dosing accuracy. The dosers are made according to the requirements of our customers. various overall dimensions. Different variants of hoppers allow for correct operation with materials that are theoretically difficult to dose – highly abrasive, easily aerated, with a tendency to uncontrolled flow or clumping.
The dosing of raw materials can be done in two ways. The first way is by feeding a constant layer of material at an adjustable speed, the second way is by regulating the material feed to the weighing conveyor by a preceding device (so-called prefeeder).
This means that belt dispensers not only have a built-in belt scale, but all of their components are manufactured with high precision. Thanks to their precision, belt dispensers are particularly useful for feeding delicate products.
The dosing station is usually based on a solid, steel support structure. We take care of the proper selection of tapes, gravity tension and tape guiding system. The high accuracy (maximum error below 0.5% of the set value) achieved over a long period of time is worth noting. It places our BIKO SERWIS tape dispensers at the forefront of this type of solutions available on the market.
Screw feeders provide continuous (flow) dosing of bulk materials with an accuracy of between 1-3%. The screw feeder works great in installations requiring simple, effective and dust-free solutions.
These devices can be used to dose various bulk materials, especially granulated ones, resulting in a precise mixture of material and some component (e.g. color concentrate). High accuracy is achieved thanks to frictionless articulated support in the hopper axis and separation of the device from external forces.
Screw feeders manufactured by BIKO-SERWIS are precise, reliable and universal dosing devices. We can manufacture these devices in any scale, regardless of the size and efficiency of the device, they are always characterized by simple operation of the feeders. Smooth regulation of dosing efficiency in the entire range of the device’s operation and stability of the engine speed guarantee repeatability of the established efficiency. Our devices are equipped with dedicated controllers with analog and digital communication in various data transmission modules. Control can be carried out automatically, where the rotational speed of the feeder operation is synchronized with the existing technological line. It is possible to correct the efficiency of the screw feeders manufactured by us by changing the screw design. Screw feeders manufactured by BIKO-SERWIS are characterized by the possibility of easy cleaning and maintenance. They can be single or double shaft, trough, tubular trough, screw.
Butterfly valves are one of the most commonly used closing and shut-off solutions. They are mounted under silos, tanks, containers, dispensers or other types of bulk material conveyors. In pneumatic transport channels, they are used to cut off interruptions in the material stream.
Butterfly valves are used as devices that cut off the flow in pipelines. These devices are a very common solution in most industries and in all types of plants processing loose and granular materials, especially where it is required to interrupt the stream of dry material transported by gravity or pneumatically. Butterfly valves also work well for applications in pipelines intended for liquids: drinking water, sewage, seawater, industrial fluids.
