Carbon black is one of the most demanding bulk materials in terms of handling, conveying, and dosing. It is characterized by an extremely fine particle size, high dusting tendency, and a strong inclination to block discharge and transfer points.

In practice, carbon black presents challenges in:
▪️ pneumatic conveying,
▪️ stable dosing,
▪️ maintaining cleanliness of process installations.

Due to its strong coloring properties, even small amounts deposited on equipment surfaces can complicate batch processes and color changes—for example, in the production of paving blocks or construction mixes.

A solution to these challenges is the microgranulation of carbon black. From a logistics perspective, the most desirable form is granules sized 0.1–1 mm, which:
▪️ enable easy transport and dosing,
▪️ significantly reduce dusting,
▪️ simplify packaging and storage.

Key technological advantage:
During the mixing process, microgranules can be easily broken down back into a fine powder, allowing their full utilization as a component in:
▪️ rubber,
▪️ plastics,
▪️ construction materials.
